- Odysseus and his men find a cavern at one end of the bay and Odysseus and 12 of his men decided to go in and check what was in there. Odysseus noticed that it belonged to someone huge or a Giant or sorts
- They found cheeae and lambs and lamkins in their pens but Odysseus decided to was for the Giant who went out to pasture his fat sheep. Upon his arival him and his men ran to hide.
- After starting a fire the Cyclops noticed the shadow of the men and found out there were intruders. Odysseus tried to talk to Polyphemus about how Zeus will punish him if he illtreats them. The Cyclops was threatened and hence ate on of his men. Seeing this Odysswuss offered some Liquor Euanthes’ son,Maron, had given him which got the Cyclops to sleep
- In his sleep Odysseus and his men had stabbed his eye with a scrraped tree trunk which blinded him. Odysseus did not kill him as he knew only he could move the huge bolder which covered the enterance to get out .
- The Cyclops reacted quickly by moving and sitting by the entrance wishing Odysseus would be dumn enough to try to escape. Him and his men decided to tie themselfs to the bottom of the sheeps where he will lwt them out to graze the feilds. They waited all night
- The next day the Cyclops had left the rams out hence they escaped and had reached the ship and had climbed aboard and taken a few ram.Odysseus who got arrogant started mocking the Cyclops and in the proccess had told him his name and home land which the Cyclops then had cursed to never reach his home land or even if it were to happen it should take a long time
