- Ryan, a lifelong customer for cholesterol-filling Danny's Diner, suffered an anticipated heart attack.
- 1. Doctors performed an elaborate operation and inserted a flexible tube into his heart's chamber or vessels, known as catheterization. It was revealed his heart attack was a sign of Coronary Heart Disease.
- 2. HOWEVER..., his heart's chambers quickly depleted of blood, and a defibrillator was used to stop his heart and revert it to normal, so its blood flow would resume.
- I need to make a change...
- Ryan was very fortunate to be alive and promptly recover from his surgery. Now with a scarred heart and medication, the man finally reflects on his past decisions.
- No clue....
- Ryan stopped constantly eating at Danny's Diner, and instead consumed more fruits and vegetables to add variety in his diet. His high LDL levels caused cholesterol buildup in his arteries.
- Where's Ryan?
- Ryan also started playing basketball with his friends to exercise, reduce stress levels, and gain Vitamin D
- The heart can pump more blood throughout the body and keeps arteries and blood vessels flexible to ensure normal blood pressure and flow.
- He goes to bed early, contempt with his newfound choices and the impact it has on his future.
- And finally, to gradually decrease risk of atherosclerosis (thickening of arteries) and heart diseases, Ryan must stop smoking and limit alcohol intake.
