- Hello? Where are you three?
- After retreating from the land of the Cicones, weathering a storm sent by Zeus, and being blown off course by high winds, Odysseus and his men arrive at the coastline of the Lotus-Eaters. Odysseus sends two of his men and a runner to scout out the land and meet the natives...
- The three men encountered the natives, who were friendly and offered Lotus. The three men ate the Lotus, which made them want to stay on the island forever.
- Do not end up like these guys.
- After the three men had not reported back, Odysseus decided to search for them.
- After Odysseus had found the three men, he carried them back to the ships. However, the three men desperately wanted to stay on the island and began to wail.
- Odysseus warns his men not to eat the Lotus or else they will never want to return back home. In addition, the three men are tied to the ship in order to prevent them from escaping.
- Odysseus orders his men to their positions, and the fleet of twelve ships leave the shores of the Lotus-Eaters.
