Storyboard Text

  • I had to take action and save my country from that TYRANT! No one else was bold enough to do the job.
  • I did what needed to be done and I don't feel any remorse. It was God's will that I kill Lincoln.
  • I killed President Lincoln. Every problem in this country is his fault!

  • I have been hunted and judged by men, but I feel that I have done nothing wrong.
  • That night when I jumped to the stage I broke my leg. But I rode my horse all night, in extreme pain!
  • If God thinks I have done something wrong, I pray that he will forgive me and let me die like a hero.
  • Booth does not feel quilt for killing Lincoln. He feels his actions were justified and for the greater good. There was no personal gain for him. He believes in God and knows that God will judge his actions. Booth also realizes that if God decides his actions were wrong, he will be damned. He begs for God to forgive him and bless his mother.
  • If people knew my heart, they would realize that my motives were pure. I have never hated or wronged anyone. No man knows his fate. It is now up to God. He will either forgive me or damn me.
