The next day, at school, Mrs. Pratchett was looking for the culprits for the "prank" that Roald and his friends pulled on her. The headmaster ordered all the students to line up around the school yard, so Mrs. Pratchett could find who did it. Mrs. Pratchett was looking for the "petty, little ones" and at the end, she had found Roald and his friends among the group of small kids.

All 5 of the culprits were called to the Headmaster's office. They were all told to bend down and then the headmaster beat them with a cane. But, they didn't know they had Mrs. Pratchett as their audience. And, she was enjoying it, which made it worse. Roald's was last, but what he thought was worse than being hit with the cane was him having to watch his friends get beat too.
YES!!!!
When Roald got home, his mother found out that he got beat at school quickly after he went to shower. She saw red marks all over and she was mad. She was really upset and curious at the same time as to who did this and why. Roald had told her that it was from school and the Headmaster did this. His mother left and went to the school. When she returned, Roald asked what happened, and his mom told him that she removed him from that school and that he was going to an english school.
