  • Laius and Jocasta had a baby boy named Oedipus, they want to the prophet who told Laius and Jocasta that Oedipus would be ending up killing his father and marry the mother, Laius, and Jocasta were traumatized so they told a shepherd to take Oedipus to the mountain to be left dead.
  • Instead, The shepherd took him to a nearby city where he grew up to be a teen, there he hears the same story, he was so terrified, so he escaped the land not knowing that he was adopted, on his way out, he met some people on a carriage, he ended having an altercation with them which led him killing all of them including his dad, the shepherd ended up getting away. later he comes to a city and solved a puzzle and because of that he is granted, king.
  • later he comes to a city and solved a puzzle and because of that he is granted, king, and he ended up marrying his mother without knowing, Oedipus and Jocasta later had 4 children named Antigone, Polynices, Ismene, Eteocles.
  • A crisis broke out there, people then found out that Laius's murder was unidentified, later the same shepherd confirmed that Oedipus was the one to kill his father and married his mother.
  • Jocasta was so traumatized that she killed herself, Oedipus was done with the world, he's seen enough, so he poked his eye out with Jocasta's jewelry and fled the city, now Polynices and Eteocles wanted to share the thrown but that doesn't work out they end up having an altercation, which led Polynices betraying the city, they both died in battle.
  • Now we're at the point where Creon is stating, Polynices shouldn't have proper burial rights because he betrayed the city, and Eteocles should have proper burial rights, and whoever tries to bury Polynices should be punished, Antigone disobeys his orders and bury's her brother later gets caught and states, that her family is cursed because Oedipus killed his father and married his mother.
