- The farmers lost all of there potato crop, because of this fungus called potato blight, Its caused by a fungus called Phytopthera Infestans
- Honey, I'm sorry! That was the last of are potato crop, due to the spreading fungus and mold
- How will we survive! We will starve without these potatos
- The farmers decided that they need to leave the country, in order to survive.
- I'm sorry son, we have to leave Ireland or else we will starve to death
- Please father, I want to stay here!
- Trust me honey! We will have a better life in Canada. We can be happy there with a new farmland, better resources, lots of water. We need to leave or else we will die by winter. We need to leave by tonight
- The farmers decided that they need to leave Ireland in order to survive that winter. Where they will start there new farmland and a new life full of resources Canada has that Ireland can't provide.
- We have to stay here! We can't just leave our country. Do you know how many diseases that are on that boat that could kill us. Plus it so expensive and are home is here! We have to stay here
