- Martin Luther King gained credibility uses the lines five score years ago. Abraham Lincoln famously used these words in his Gettysburg address speech used to free the slaves.

- "I have a dream that my four little children!Il will one daylive in a nation. Where they will not be judged by the colorof their skin but by the content of the their character." (king)
- Martin Luther King was tugging on peoples hart strings when he mentions children. King uses children as an example that they cant do the simplest thing like play with each other
- Pathos
- Everything changes when people talk about money. Most everybody knows the feeling of a insufficient funds at one point in there life.
- Logos
- The passion that Martin Luther King spoke with in his speech made people believe him. The chrism that MLK spoke with captivate the audience into listening to his entire speech
- Martin Luther King made people think about there children. Most people will listen in order to protect there children. MLK does that by mentioning how there lives will be ruined
- Blacks
- "We Can never be satisifyed as long as our children are stripped of their adulthood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating For Whites Only."(King)
- Whites
- MLK mentioned the importance of voting in his famous speech. Without voting you have no power in America. When only one race can vote in can change a country in ways which it should not go.
- "We cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and the Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote."(king)
