  • from now on you must pay my tax for a stamp on any purchased paper item!
  • Boston Massacre (1770)
  • Issued by King George at the end of the French and Indian War, this act keep the English from expanding further west to avoid further conflict with the Natives. The colonist thought this was extremely unfair since they had just fought in war to win the land.
  • Tea Act / Boston Tea Party (1773)
  • The Parliament of Great Britain put an act on the colonies when they purchased any paper item they would have to pay an additional tax for a stamp. The colonies did not like this because most of the time they didn't even want a stamp.
  • Intolerable Acts (1774)
  • Because of your rebellion the Boston Port Act, Massachusetts Government Act, Justice Act, and the Quartering Act will be placed!
  • A confrontation on March 5, 1770 where British soldiers shot and killed 5 unarmed colonists.
  • First Continental Congress (1774)
  • We need to find a way to help our connection with the British and make them understand our side of things!
  • In 1773 Parliament placed a tea act which allowed the British East India Company to sell directly to the colonists which made the tea much more expensive. As a way to rebel, the colonists disguised themselves as Indians, and overnight dumped over a million dollars worth of tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • The British passed the intolerable acts, also known as coercive acts. They were a series of absurd acts placed on the colonists as punishment for the Boston Tea Party. The Colonists despised these acts and therefor called them the intolerable acts.
  • I don't care you need punished for your actions!

  • A meeting of 12 of the 13 original Colonies where they would gather to contemplate how to build up the relationship ship with Britain and make it fair for the colonies.
