- Climax: Mahmoud and his dad are in a jail cell away from the rest of there family. They are trying to be let free and Mahmoud’s dad is going to get hit soon.

- Rising action: Mahmouds dad is getting told by the police that the next time they see him he is going to jail and never coming out. Also Mahmoud is going to get beat up

- Rising action:In the ocean trying to get to landMahmoud doesn’t know where his dad and waleed are. Mahmoud’s mom wants to give and let her and Hana drown.
