  • Gentrification
  • Such a great neighborhood to get a house. So many sights and museums.
  • What a great day for a run!
  • Suburb
  • Hey Susan how have you been!!!
  • So good to see you Mary!! I've been good, such a beautiful night to go for a walk though.
  • Wow that motorcycle is nice. I wonder whose that is.
  • New Urbanism
  • I want some Starbucks!
  • I can't wait to find a new dress.
  • Gentrification is viewed as a process of urban development in which a neighborhood or portion of a city develops rapidly in a short period of time. Gentrification neighborhoods usually include museums or famous galleries, to try and bring more people to move in around there. The image I created describes that because this couple is looking for homes and sees that there are these amazing sights to see so they want to move there. They also see how many nice people there are around there.
  • Green Belt
  • Suburbs are smaller communities adjacent to or within commuting distance of a city. So basically in simpilar words, suburbs are neighborhoods that are distant from the big city for example New York is a big city. My image describes a suburb because these two ladies live in this neighborhood that is kind of isolated. Which is also how they know each other because of how close together they live.
  • Rural
  • Have to get some supplies for the crops.
  • New urbanism is a planning and development approach based on the principles of how cities and towns had been built. For example new urbanism would be like downtown where there are old shops, parks, benches, and houses. So it's a community built kind of all together and not all spread apart. The image that I drew describes this because it shows how there's a couple just chilling on the bench. While a girl is going for a run. While another person is going to buy something from the nearby shop.
  • Edge City
  • A greenbelt is a general term that refers to natural, undeveloped, and agricultural lands that surround urban areas. These lands may include open spaces, parks, farms and ranches, wild lands, or a combination. My image represents a green belt because I built it to look more like a park. Where there are a couple sitting down on a bench enjoying their lunch. A man on the bench sitting down with their dog, and a boy playing on the playground.
  • This pasta is good!!!
  • Rural areas are sparsely settled places away from the influence of large cities. Live in villages, hamlets or farms, or in other isolated homes. My images represent farm areas isolated on the mountains. The girl is working the farm with her family. While the man is working his own little farm on his own.
  • Such a great day for a ride!
  • Edge cities are urban areas with a large suburban residential and business area surrounding it. These areas are tied together by a beltway. My image represents edge cities because it shows a couple and their kid walking on a bridge like a road around the city. Where there are cars and other people and also big skyscrapers and landmarks.
  • Such a great day for a walk around the city!
  • Mom, I want to eat some food!!
