IIf you had unlimited technology skills, budget, and time, what would you do? - Find a cure for cancerAbove is a terrible example of what families go through every day, this is a problem close to my heart as i have lost family members to this terrible thing.
Unfortunately there is no tech or budget for us to do any more.
Will i be able to see my friends?
So there is nothing you can do?If only there was a way for us to find a cure.
Tech exists to a certain extent in the fight against cancer but the ultimate tech needed right now isn't readily available. I would need advanced tech not just for treatment but also for prevention. This could be in the form of advanced screenings to detect early signs of cancer developments. Treatment for tech would be driven by AI and improved machine learning to allow for removal of cancer in patients. This would be driven in an ideal world through enough funding available for everyone's needs. Allocation of funds from donations and other means would be distributed evenly where needed through committees established.
The benefits would be felt worldwide. According to Cancer Research UK 18.1 million people were diagnosed with cancer in 2020, that same year there were 10 million deaths worldwide from cancer. If there is an advancement to prevent these deaths it would be the one the greatest achievements in history as well as one of the most important advances in medicine.
Lets fight cancer together!
Here are some examples of how ever improving tech is helping in the fight against cancer. Oncology has seen a massive improvement which can be attributed to the below fields being positively affecting by tech.

Some difficulties in achieving a cure relate to the allocation of funding. According to the University of Southampton. Approximately $24.5billion of global investment, from 66,388 public and philanthropic awards between 2016 and 2020 was made ready for the fight against cancer. The study showed that treatments such as surgery receives just 1.4 per cent of funding, and radiotherapy only 2.8 per cent, meaning little direct benefit for patients.
