- By order of the Church of England? Where are us Pilgrims going to practice our own religion?!!!!
- A group named the Pilgrims wanted to break away from the Church of England for religious freedom. After moving to Holland, they wanted to sail to the new World instead
- Where are we going to move to now?! We just wanted freedom for our religion
- The Pilgrims started to set sail on the Mayflower. They originally planned start a colony in what is now modern day New York City
- I can't wait to set sail on the Mayflower!
- I wonder what the New World will be like...
- Alright everyone. Come up and take a look at the Mayflower Compact document. It is for the better of our colony.
- The colonists decided to create a compact for certain rules and laws of the colony. It was known as the Mayflower Compact

- Eventually, the Pilgrims landed in Plymouth. The colony was off to a rough start and half the colony died of diseases
- WHAT DO WE DO NOW!!!
- A Native American named Sqaunto started to help the Pilgrims survive by teaching them how to grow crops. The two groups signed a peace treaty
- I am Sqaunto from the Wampanoag tribe. We would like to create peace and help you guys.
- In November, the natives and Pilgrims gathered for a three day celebration feast. The holiday is now known as Thanksgiving
