  • On August 24, 1814 British forces marched into Washington D.C. and set fire to several key buildings including the White House and the Capitol.Government official, a long with president James Madison had to evacuate the city.
  • Just let It burn nobody cares!!!

  • This battle started on Sept. 13 1814 at the U.S. Ft. McHenry near Baltimore. The American fort that guarded Baltimore harbor, was bombarded for 27 hours straight. The attack fails,and On the morning of September 14th, the U.S. flag still flew above Ft. McHenry(This inspired Francis Scott Key to write Spangled Banner)

  • On January 8, 1815, the British army invaded the city of New Orleans. ANdrew Jackson assembled a last-minute militia that included Native Americans, pirates, freed African Americans, and ordinary citizens to defend the city. Jackson wind the battle and becomes a war hero.
