- Sally: All by itself. He wasn't anywhere near it. It all started all by itself.
- Woman: How come his car just up and started like that?
- Man One:He got his car started somehow.He got his car started!! (the people stare.)
- Understand the procedure now? Just stop a few of their machines and radios and telephones and lawn mowers...throw them into darkness for a few hours and and then just sit back and watch the pattern.
- With few variations. They pick the most dangerous enemy they can find ...and it's themselves. All we need to do is sit back and watch.
- Then I take this place...this Maple Street...is not unique.
- And the pattern is always the same?
- The powers out. Was their some electrical storm or something.
- I can't get anything on the radio. Not even the portable too.
- Don: And he never did come out to look at the thing that flew overhead. He wasn't even interested.(he turns to the faces in the group,his taut and serious.)
- Figure One:(shaking his head) By no means. Their world id full of Maple Streets. And we'll go from one to the other and let them destroy themselves.One to the other...one to the other...one to the other... (Now the camera pans up for a shot of the starry sky and over we hear the narrators voice)
