Fellow Jesuits I think this is where we shall build the House of Novices!
The Seminary was soon after reopened and after that, in 1858, President James Buchanan signs the Act of Congress which created the "President and Directors of Gonzaga College.
I believe this is a good place too!

After many changes to the House of Novices ,including Jesuits creating a House of Philosophy in 1820, they decided to take in students for a good education in 1821.

In 1871, Gonzaga left their building and moved into Kohlmann Hall which used to be an orphanage.
The House of Philosophy, now known as the Washington Seminary was temporarily closed in 1827 due to poor funding.

A year later in 1859, the Jesuits moved to Eye Street and built a church dedicated to St.Aloysius Gonzaga who was a young Jesuit saint in the 16th century
*Kohlmann Hall is named after Father Anthony Kohlmann, an Alsatian Catholic priest, and Jesuit Educator.
