Storyboard Text
- I must trust and believe God.
- I will give you descendants, land and a blessing for others. All you have to do is wait.
- Let my people go!
- 1. One day God made promises to a man named Abram. He promised him that he will have a lot of descendants and land for them to live on and that he would be famous for blessing others. All he had to do was wait. This was hard for Abram to do, because he was already 75 years old.
- 2. When Abraham's descendants end up in slavery in Egypt, God sent a man named Moses to free all of Abraham's descendants.
- 3. Moses then went to the pharoah to tell him to let the people go. When the pharoah finally said yes, Moses and his friend Aaron then let the descendants to the land God had promised them.
- 4. God then gave Moses the 10 commandments that they had to follow which included: Do not worship any other god except me, do not make idols that look like anything God has created on this Earth, do not misuse my name, Sabbath Day belongs to God, respect your mother and father, do not murder, be faithful in marriage, do not steal, do not tell lies about others, and do not want anything that belongs to someone else.
- 5. After a long journey the Iraelites finally arrived at the land God had promised them. All they had to do was follow the 10 commandments God had given them.
- 6. Then they started to worship a golden calf statue which was classified as an idol. This was against 2 of the 10 commandments (commandment 1 - do not worship any other god but me and commandment 2 - do not make idols of anything that looks like something God has created on this Earth).
