- The three witchs shout this chat as they cast: “Fillet of a fenny snake, In the cauldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting, Lizard's leg and owlet's wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.”
- double, double toil and trouble, Fire burn, and the cauldron bubble.
- Hecate is commending the three witches for there pains on making this potion
- Oh well done! I commend your pains, And every one shall share i' th' gains.
- Macbeth is wanting to know what the three witches are doing.
- How now, you secret, black, and midnight hags?
- A deed without a name
- Macbeth commands them to show him
- call'em. Let me see 'em
- Come, high or low; Thyself and office deftly show!
- The witches conjured up the first apparition, the armored head. Telling him the beware of Macduff.
- MACBETH!BEWARE THE THANE OF FIFE
- whate'er thou art, for thy good caution, thanks.thou hast harped my fear alright. But one more word....
- He will not be commanded. Here another more potent than the first.
- Had I three ears, I'd hear thee.
- The second apparition appears (bloody child) and tells Macbeth no man born of a women can harm him
- Macbeth! Macbeth!Macbeth!Be bloody, bold, and resolute. Laugh to scorn The power of man for none born of a women shall harm Macebth
- The third apparition appeared and tells Macbeth the thing that will end up killing him
- Macbeth shall never vanquish be untill Great Birnam woods shall come against.
