- Julius Caesar: Roman general that recently returned to Rome in triumph;who wants to end Rome’s republicans system of government. Calphurnia: Caesar’s wife who believes in omens;

- Cassius:A talented general who sly tricks Brutus into being a conspiracy he dislikes the fact that Caeser has become godlike to the romans. Deccius:a member of the conspiracy convinces Caeser his wife misinterpreted her nightmares and no danger awaits him.
- Brutus: a Roman nobleman who is motivated by a sense of honor and puts the people of Rome above his own personal interests the tragic hero of the play.Portia: Brutus wife and a daughter of a noble Roman she is her husbands condante
- Flavius and Murrellus:condemns the plebeians for cheering for Caeser; believes they should be loyal to Pompey, the previous leader
