  • I read on social media that people don't trust the medicine that has been prescribed and the vaccines that are being tested. I'm scared.
  • This is great. I can quantify the results to see how many people in various age groups were afflicted this virus, what treatment regimens worked/didn’t work on the different age groups and if it affected men or women more.
  • This way, we can report our findings to the government and encourage them to put in place measures to prevent more of the population from being infected with this virus.
  • There is great need for education regarding this virus. The community’s fear could have negative effects on the implementation of the health department’s intervention measures.
  • Thank you for your great research we will report these findings to regional authorities and contact the Mayors office to start a communication campaign
  • I think one-on-one in-depth interview with open ended questions with the community members of (village/ town) will give us an idea of their perceptions towards the virus.
  • When we collect qualitative data are we gone conduct a group interview or one-on-one interview?
  • A sample used in the quantitative study was interviewed using in-depth interviews, results are showing that older community members are unsure about this new outbreak. Furthermore, there has been some resistance in the community on whether to take the vaccine that is recommended or not. Many people are relying on information from the internet, word of mouth and their religious beliefs.
  • The results also show that the virus is affecting mostly children and older people. This has caused great fear on the older people as there has not been a set intervention plan yet.
