  • I feel that Tadesse Meskela did a good job reprsenting his farmer and one thing that I learn't from the documentary that as consumers we have the power to do what is right and our voices are very important in the economy
  • I got to say that this term for LES was quite managerable compared to the other terms. What I enjoyed most was the 'Black Gold documentary' and the comic strip that we dicussed during the lecture...
  • I agree with you , the documentary was quite interesting to watch as we got to learn the struggle that the coffee farmers in Ethopia go through to produce our favourite drink.
  • but, was'nt the whole point of watching the documentary to improve our critcal thinking skills.
  • you guys are making me all emotional!!! ...SNIFF...SNIFFFor me it was the fact that children were living in poverty and that the people in Ethopia were made begger instead of the organisation such as the UNto fight for the peoples rights they gave them food parcels instead. They don't need food parcels , they need to see the wealth of their countries key resource.
  • For me , it was how the women and children were affected by all of this. I fully now undersatnd the importance of the MULTIPLIER EFFECT in economics because if the farmers were remunerated fairly the sitauation for everyone whould change in the society.
  • No it was'nt about just improving our critical analysis skills in oder to analyse the situation for instant what did you like or did not like about the documentary?
  • I got really frustrated and angered when i saw what the WTO was doing to African Countries shutting them out and embarrasing them or feelow representatives nationally and its the nerve to then want to exploit our resources i wonder if we are trully freeas african countries
  • market research is very important in the world that we live in as consumers we tend to buy products unaware of the damage they cause to society.
  • With regards to the way forward I think that as African countries we should support each other and consumers globally we should be more informed about how our products are made and how our acts of equity by buing Fair-prized products will help us as individuals.
  • Well I think that we can all agree that a lot is being done unfairly to the people of Ethopia, but the story of unjust acta by the west doesnt end only in Ethopia, Ethopia is a chapter of a A non- ending series of novels, what we should be discussing as people is the way forward.
