- Thiru came across Ethan’s comment under the post and decided to get in touch with him to see if it is possible to work with him for the competition. It worked out and they decided to pair up for the competition.
- Thiru is a foreign talent that has been working in Singapore to support his family back in India.
- Ethan is a local who studies about cooking and is also able to converse in Tamil. He was looking for an opportunity to apply what he learnt in his cooking lessons.
- Thiru is feeling down as he has recently lost a family member back in India but is not able to go back for the funeral due to the pandemic.
- Thiru was on his Instagram when he came across a post about a cooking competition at a local concept store.
- This seems like an opportunity for me to do some cooking which I love!
- Hope I will be able to apply what I learnt and also learn from others!
- Ethan was on his instagram when he also came across the same post as Thiru. He thought it is great opportunity for him. He went on to indicate his interest in the comments section.

- After the competition, they still met up often at the concept cafe. They often spent time there during their rest day playing games and socialising with people who visit the cafe too.
