- Oh sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. I just hang out right by that tree and noticed that you wanted to find out more about the Mauryan Dynasty.
- I wanted to say that you won't find the first dynasty because it's long gone, but I do want to tell you that the first ruler was Chandragupta Maurya, the second ruler was Bindusara Maurya, and the third ruler was Ashoka Maurya. I can tell you about Chandragupta but my friend to the right will tell you about Bindusara.

- Wait then what happened to Alexander the Great?
- Alexander the Great was a greek ruler that took over India, but then his soldiers got home sick. When they left Chandragupta Maurya took over and started the Mauryan dynasty. He conquered northern India and united them under an Indian ruler. He had a strong army and a good spy system.
- Chandragupta Maurya was the first ruler of the Mauryan dynasty.
