- Santiago was a young shepard. He loved travelling and was looking forward to go to one of the nearer villages. But he had been experiencing a dream that kept coming back to him.
- After the dream kept bothering him, he decided to seek help from a gypsy. She helped interpert his dream, but he was in slight disbelief.
- You must promise me 10% of your treaure for me to tell you where it is.
- Everyone has a personal legend. But many give up on finding theirs in life.
- While travelling through a village a mysterious old man approached him. He talked about how Santiago needed to follow his dream, and go to Egypt for his treasure. And that he was already following his personal legend.
- Santiago decided after arriving in Egypt and recieving good omens, to work for a crystal merchant to save up money to be able to get to his treasure.
- I have to find a man who knows that universal language. An alchemist.
- Santiago and the Englishmen both travelled through the desert. The english man was looking for the alchemist while Santiago was learning about the universe and it's language. While travelling they heard that tribesmen from the war could be dangerous and try to attack them.
- Hopefully with the war occuring, we won't get captured out here.
