- Hey there! My names Abhi, and today I´m gonna talk about the spanish colonial, the revolution, the republic, civil war and construction, and age of oil
- From 1690-1808 was the era of the Spanish Colonial. Spain had colonized early Texas in various places including El Paso, San Antonio , and various other places . This was the Era when the Spanish conquerors sought to teach the Native Americans the Spanish way of life.
- The revolution took place during 1833-1836. This was during the Mexican Colonial when the Texas revolutionaries fought back agianst the Mexican dictator, Santa Anna. The main parts of this war took place in Gonzalez, San Jacento, and Goliad.
- 1836-1845 was the Era of the Republic. This was the time when TExas had finally gained their independance from Mexico and were facing some challenges as a lone nation.
- The civil war and reconstruction took place 1860-1876. This was when the causes and effects of Texas's secession came into view. It was also when the emancipation proclamation was signed. During this time TExas also faced debts and political issues from the war.
- 1900-1926 was the age of oil. THis was when major technology was made using oil such as trains and factories. Houston, Galveston, and San Antonio were main targets of this era . THis time period was when major advancements were made after World War 1.
