- Queen Elizabeth I passes away with no heir to the thrown leaving James I to become king and start problems with parliament because of his belief in the divine right of kings

- James I passes and his son Charles I inherits his thrown and also follows the divine right of kings, Parliament tries to limit the thrown with the Petition of power which Charles I signs but ignores
- My home has abandoned me and so has it's people
- The civil war between The king (Cavilers) and Parliament who was lead by Oliver Cromwell (Round-heads). The King loses and Charles I is beheaded

- Parliament and Oliver Cromwell abolish the monarchy and Oliver establishes a Military dictatorship that falls after Oliver dies and he monarchy is brought back with Charles II who does not believe in the divine right of kings. After Charles II dies James II becomes king but is openly Catholic
- William of Orange is encouraged to take the throne by parliament and to do so by force and by marrying Mary who is James II daughter. James II flees to France because he doesn't have support from England despite being king
- James and Mary of Orange both accept the throne and abolish the theory of the Divine right of kings and they rule equally with parliament and create a bill of rights
