  • I love space and want to work at Nasa!
  • It is really awesome! Do you know how a star is made? It's pretty neat.
  • Let me show you how it works, bro
  • A star being made? Interesting tell me more...
  • Did you know stars are mad of gas and dust? In fact, the space that is full of gas dust is called a Nebula. Just like when babies are born they go to a nursery, the Nebula is like a stars nursery and it is where stars begin their cycle as protostars.
  • A Protostar is the earliest stage of a star's life. It is the result of gravity pulling together the available helium and hydrogen gas in it's nebula. It is the beginning of a star's life cycle.
  • Next, the nuclear fusion happens in the stars core. It stabilizes and becomes a Main Sequence Star.
  • The main sequence is a stage where the core temperature reaches the point for the fusion to come together. The hydrogen is covered into helium. When hydrogen starts to run out is no longer making heat, the core contracts and becomes unstable.
  • The star's outer shell, which is still almost all hydrogen, starts to expand. Then it cools down and glows red. The star has now reached the red supergiant phase.
  • After that, the core collapses and releases a huge amount of energy and an explosion will occur. The explosion which is known as the Supernova.
  • The last cycle of the star will occur; if the core survives the supernova, the stars will either be a Neutron Star or a Black Hole. Depending on how many solar masses the has will determine that.
  • I told you science is fun, didn't I, Bro?
  • Yeah, dude. I will for sure pay attention in Ms. Pierce's class now!
