Liquid to Gas
Hello, my name is Bill the water molecule! Today, we are be going through 2 of the phase changes and experiencing all of the states of matter! Let's go and start with liquid to solid!
Liquid To Solid
In a bowl on the stovetop...
That guy, Gerald, is going to put my friends and I into that fridge, and will most likely forget to take us out!
Yes, me and my friends are currently in a water bottle. We are currently in our liquid form, which is called water. We are going to freeze into ice!
4 Days Later
10 minutes later (zoomed in on the bowl)...
As expected, that dude forgot to take us out of the fridge, and we are now ice, which is a solid! While we were changing, the particles in us became slower and became closer, and our temperature went from 25°C in our liquid form, to 0°C in our solid form, ice.
Now that we have magically transformed back into our water form, its time for us to turn into a gas! . To become gas, that guy Gerald is going to pour us out of our bottle and onto a pan, and we will boil on the stovetop. Let's go!
The boiling point of water is 100 Degrees Celsius, so that is when we will become gas. When we turn into a gas, the particles in us will separate and move faster
We finally went through 2 of the phase changes and experienced all 3 states of matter!
Woo hoo! We are now water vapor, the gas form of water!!!
