Life's workIn August of 1659 met his brother in law, Medar Chourt, Sieur Des Groseilliers, Togeter they explored the great lakes region. they set out for lake Sopurior with 30 Frenchmen and a large group of Huron, and Ottawa native Americans, they found many beavers in this area and took some for fur trading. However in 1660 when they returned to France they were arested and their furs were taken away.

Later years Raddisson and Des Groseilliers traveled to England in 1666 to try to get sponsors for their hudsun's bay company expedition. Prince Rupert of the Rhine gave them money and two ships for their expedition. They made the voyage to Hudson bay and established fort Charlals on the Rupert River. He returned to England with a wealth of furs, Together they developed the Hudson's bay company which was the first four trading bussiness that joined Canada and the United States.

ContributionsRaddisson was known as a co-founder for Hudson's bay company. Several towns in Canada and one in Wisconson are named after him and so is the Raddisson hotel chain.
