  • Before Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean the Native American were the only people to live in America. The Native Americans were not even known and neither was the land. The Native Americans used natural resources as food, tools, clothing, medicine, etc.
  • The Native Americans were living their life until this Spanish came. When teh Spanish came to America they took land from the Native Americans (Indians). However, the French exploers came and claimed land, but they traded with Native Americans in a friendly manner.
  • "That's our land! We the FRENCH!"
  • Now because of all of you, we must have a war! This is our land, NOT yours!

  • As time progressed, Great Britain later came and started building homes for their families. There was a variety of items that people wanted. Some were interested in gold, some looking for religious freedom, and some finding somewhere safe to live.
  • As more people kept moving to the British Colonies it became very crowded. Many people did not like the colonies becoming crowded so many of them moved. They wanted to move to the Ohio River Valley.
  • As the people from the Great Britain colonies moved west, the French became very angry. They were angry because they felt that they were taking over they're land, and they did not have the right to take their land. So the French became upset and decided to start a war. Since the French were kind to the Native Americans, the Indians were willing to help fight.

  • The French and Native Americans began fighting against the British Colonist. They were fighting over who owned the Ohio River Valley. This war lasted seven years. They called this war the French and Indian War.
