- I'm Aaron Williamson. When I became deaf doctors saw it as a loss. I wanted to flip the script and add a new perspective to what doctors called hearing loss. I coined the term in the 1990's to challenge what it means to be deaf, I called it Deaf Gain!

- Were H-Dirksen L. Bauman and Joseph J. Murray. We expanded on the term Deaf Gain. Were scholars who wrote a book on the topic Deaf Gain after doing different studies on neuroscience, architecture, and history. Our book is called "Deaf Gain: Raising the Stakes for Human Diversity."

- Deaf Gain created the football huddle I use at every game!
- Deaf Gain has further advanced research in technology, education, sensory research and so much more!
- Deaf Gain is present in architecture, like creating wider walkways to talk. This is a gain for both deaf and hearing individuals.
- More research has been done on deaf animals. They are just as much a gain to the family as hearing animals, they require different teaching methods that are simple and help them thrive!
