Steph wants to learn the 3 branches of government so she starts with the Judicial Branch
She learns from Judge Lynn that the supreme court is made of nine people called the supreme justices.
The Judicial Branch
The judge tells Steph the main job of the judicial branch is to interoperate laws and review decisions of lower courts and the supreme justices decide the law for the other branches. She realizes that this is an example of checks and balances.

Steph now goes to the white house to ask the president on what he does.

The Legislative Branch
Steph travels to congress to see what they do!
On the right is the House, there are 435 of them and they are elected by popular vote. Together the House and the Senate make all of the Laws.
On The Left is the Senate, there are 100 of them and they have the power to make treaties!
