- Instead, we are making this the final question. This will be on the test tomorrow so make sure you study. To solve number 9, add 20 on both sides and add 70 and 20 which gives you 90. Bring down 30x and divide 30 on both sides. Solve 90 divided by 30 which equals 3. So, x = 3. MAKE SURE TO CHECK!

- Bring down 3x and divide 3 by 3x and 3. Do the same thing for 12 and now for 3 and divide 3 by 3 on the other side which gives you 1 so x = 1. Then remove x and replace with 1 and plug it in to get the same answer and if it is the same answer, it is right. Do the same thing for the next question. MAKE SURE YOU CHECKED!

- To solve this type of two step equation, subtract 12 on both 12 and 15. Cross out the subtraction of 12 by 12 and answer 15 - 12 which equals 3.
