  • I think we shoudl tax the third estate more
  • Meeting of Estates General

  • Tennis Court Oath
  • If they want to vote on us then we will fight back
  • If they want to lock us out of our room, we will just meet here then at this tennis court.
  • We just wont leave until everything is settled and right.
  • Storming of the Bastille

  • During this time period France was in a deep Fincancial Crisis so their king which was King Louis hired a guy to try and handle the financial crisis so that he didn't have to. One of the things that occured was a meeting between the three estates which you would vote by order in which esate you were in, both of the estates had voted for more taxation on the Third Estate even though they were struggling already.
  • The March on Versailles
  • After weeks of this voting process to get France out of debt the Third Estate declared themselves to be a National Assembly after they had been overuled by the 1st and 2nd estate. The third estate also made a Pledge to not leave the indoor tennis court until things were more even among all the estates. Constitution 1791 was the Declaration of the rights of man, which agve men rights but completely left out women in the right to vote and things men had.

  • This is it things are falling apart and revoltions are happening
  • This isn't right we deserve better, lets fight back.
  • On July 14, 1789 more than 800 parisons stormed the Bastile demanding weapons and gunpowder. This Bastile was used a prison for polictical and prisoners, after they stormed the Bastile this would be then known as a Revolution.

  • Thousands of women marched on down to the Palace of Versailles demading change in rights and to be equal with men, as the Women approached they were yelling Bread! because they were starving. Women promised the King that they were not going to leave his palace until things were fixed.

  • This isn't fair, we deserve more
  • Robespierre was one of the chief architects of the reign of terror, which lasted a little under a year. Many people were executed by weapon or people, until it was later changed to a execution device known as the Guillotine which was a tower object with a blade that fell on your neck. He belived that France could only achieve a Republic of virtue only through the use of terror.

  • After the execution of King Louis XVI Napoleon Bonaparte came into power at the age 20. During the revlolution he became pretty big in the army as he was defeating other armies, and soon he crowned himself Emporer. During the time that Napoleon was in charge he defeated many armies and states which would result in large Military Sucess. Napoleon reforms france by setting up public schools under governemnt officals for good results, he also cutback on some of the reforms that were there before him.
