- I was so touched by the fact that even though Gina was severely sick when she was born, ultimately, her mother only thought of saving her and bringing her home, knowing the immense love and strength she had with Gina. As a teacher, I will encourage parents to speak up for that they believe is right for their child just like how Gina's mother did.
- It was inspiring to see how Gina's family was so welcoming providing Gina with an abundance of love in addition to other supports she needs both physically and emotionally. I will help parents share their voice by providing them with resources they could make use of that are outside of school
- Seeing Gina get along with friends at school, in addition to building an entire community made me very happy. Even though Gina's mother was very worried for her time in school, Gina adjusted very well and was able to enjoy her time at school. Not only did she enjoy her time, but she also made a huge difference in her school. As a teacher I will help parents share their voice by providing multiple opportunitiesfor them to speak up as well as providing them with numerous resources and programs they may want to utilize to further assist Gina.
