- Roman engineers built roads with many layers. They used stone, sand, and gravel.
- Frescoes are a type of mural. Romans painted them on a moist plaster. They usually illustrated three-dimensional landscapes and/or scenes.

- Do you know anything about Roman numerals or the Latin alphabet?
- Arches are something the Romans learned to use. Along with the open structure of the building.
- Philosophy
- The technique used to build roads was still used many, many years later. It set a standard. In fact, some cars still drive on freeways over old Roman roads.

- The emperors laws are amazing!
- Roman numerals are still widely used today, in the modern world. They are sometimes used on clocks, sundials or the first couple pages of a book. The Latin alphabet used 23 letters while the English alphabet uses 26. However, many English words come from Latin.

- Romans believed that every person had rights and should be treated the same. However, like many others, they did not live up to that. The rich were treated much better than the poor and/or slaves.
