  • What is Newton's First Law and how does it work?
  • Newton's First Law is an object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will stay in motion at constant velocity, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
  • In motion is when an object moves in its own time. Velocity is the direction the object is moving in. And a force is when the velocity changes due to a push or pull of the object's mass.
  • And that basically says that an object won't move and an object will keep moving unless it comes in contact with a greater force that can change its movement.
  • This example shows that the ball will be in one spot with its inertia unless a greater and heavier ball comes in contact with it, it can start moving because it's net forces and velocity changed into moving it's acceleration faster.
  • Greater Mass
  • Comes in contact with an unbalanced force
  • Changes its velocity
  • Resting
  • An example
  • That's why there is Newton's 1st and 2nd laws.
  • I wonder how objects have movement and how they move
  • Okay then what is Newton's 2nd Law?
  • Which demonstrates that mass, a matter's object, with acceleration(velocity changes) multiplied together is the object's force.
  • His 2nd Law is force equals mass times acceleration
  • This is an example of Newton's Second Law. As you can see the blue car is going 78 miles per hour while the red car is going 42 miles per hour.
  • It also shows how the car's forces can get combined and create a force which is causing it to accelerate.
  • But what does that conclude? Well since the car has mass and it can start accelerating it has it own force!
