Prologue: A priest approaches King Oedipus in need of help for the kingdom of Thebes.
The god of plague and pyre raids like detestable lightning through the city (30).

You do not even know the blind wrongs...But the double lash of your parents' curse will whip you! (203).
Scene 1: Teiresias, a blind man, accuses Oedipus for his parent's murder.
Damnation take you! Out of this place! Out of my sight! (217)
Scene 2: Oedipus wrongly believes Kreon is plotting against him so decides to exile or take his life.
Accurst if ever I have wished you harm! (128).
Ah, believe it, Oedipus! (129).

Scene 3: A shepherd and messenger reveal that the little boy they found years ago was King Oedipus.
Scene 4: King Oedipus finds out the previous king that has fallen was once his father.
I can not say it more clearly: the king [your father] is dead (47).

Exodus: After becoming blind, Oedipus is led out of the kingdom for his crimes and wrong doings, leaving his children behind.
Come now, and leave your children (292).
