- Roanoke Island was established for economic reasons. One of the reason was to expand trade and increase nation's wealth. They are also known as the lost colony.
- Massachusetts Bay Colony
- We are not witches!
- Jamestown is the first permanent settlement. It was founded for economic reasons and was very successful in growing tobacco because of the rich soil.
- Pennsylvania

- The Georgia settlement was founded for people in debtor prison. The prisoners were offered free land and no more debt. Many grew indigo in hot Georgia.
- Georgia
- The Puritans came to Massachusetts Bay for religious reasons. The would believe fellow villagers were witches. The Puritans had witch trials to prove if there fellow people where really witches.
- Time for the witch trials
- The Quakers came to Pennsylvania for religious reasons. They were excepting of everyone and believed in all religions.
- The Separatist Pilgrims came to Plymouth for religious reasons and learned how to farm from the Natives.
