- The Milks lived in their house in New-York.
- Hi !I'm Harvey Milk, I born on May 22nd 1930, in New-York City. My older brother and I are raised in a modest family.
- Harvey Milk has already grown, so he is at school.
- Here there is a medium long shot.
- As a teenager, I become aware of my homosexuality but I choose to keep this as a secret until my adult years.
- I graduate from Bay Shore High School (in Bay Shore, in New-York) !
- So after that, I continue my studies and gratuate in a mathematics degree from the State University of New-York (in Albany) !
- Then, in my twenties, I join the United State Navy during the Korean War as a submarine rescue ship. Then, I manage to climb the ranks, but feel persecuted in this field because my homosexual relationships have been exposed.So, I choose to quit the naval military service to get more freedom.
- My gay relationships and my jobs come one after another, but I have the feeling that I'm doing nothing of my life and time keeps flying..
- We live a modest life with the money we have saved. And in 1973, we open a camera store in our neighborhood.
- Then, I need changement so with my boyfriend Scott Smith, we decide to move at Castro, in San Francisco. In fact, it's because we are attracted by this city, which have the notoriety to have the largest gay population in the US !
- In San Francisco, I become aware of the inequalities between people, the injustices against gay people, the lack in the school system, the restrictions imposed to the population, ...
- Even if Harvey Milk has worked for several years, but he doesn't feel useful.
- I still feel that I am doing nothing of my life, so I decide to get involve in politic. I start my campaing by trying to convince more and more of people at my ideas and I manage to grow my notoriety this way.
- "I finally reached the point where I knew I had to become involved or shut up."
- Despite my conterculture opinions, I change my apparence and my ideas to be more credible.In politic, I'm more confient during my speeches, I favore humans relationships instead of money, I'm attentive to the complaints of people, ...

- I don't win the elections of Castro's Mayor but I continue to fight the repressives ideas of conservatives politicians.I'm supporting causes like an easier acces for child's cares, free publics transport system, protection of homosexual people, ...
- Harvey Milk and his team have worked really hardly since 1973, and they eventually won the elections !
- Finally, with determination, perserevance and help, I win the elections, in 1977, as the Member of the Supervisor Board of San Francisco in the 5th discrict. So I become the first opendly gay man to be elected in California !
- I throw myself into this role, for example by supporting the law which forbid the discriminations based on the sexual orientation in the working life or in the real estate field. I become more and more famous !
- Harvey Milk was assasinated by Dan White, it was a really tragic event...
- Unfairly, I'm assasinated by Dan White (an another supervisor), at the twon hall of San Francisco, by several bullets, only aged of 48...
- By the way, Dan White is condamned for only 7 years and 8 months... This too merciful verdict causes The Riot of the White Night . And my community continues my fight against injustices by this act.
- Harvey Milk fought against homophobia, socials injustices, and inequalities between people, ...
- After my death, I receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in 2009. And finally, people remember me as a committed politician and gay activist.
