It was right here in Hollywood when things started picking up for me. I opened a Film Studio called Laugh-O-Gram in 1922, but we were struggling with money so closed in 1923.
I then created Disney Brothers Cartoon Studios when I moved here in 1923 with Roy, where I created a series on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in 1927.
Things took a turn when I lost all my rights to my now famous character, and my workers and I were in a bad situation.
What happened next?!?!?
MICKEY SAVED MY JOB!!
That is when I created the famous Mickey Mouse. He debuted in 1928 in a short film called "Steamboat Willie". It was one of the first cartoons to use synchronized sound effects. Mickey became very popular very fast.
MICKEY SAVED ME!!!
MICKEY ALSO SAVED MY JOB!!
That is like how the iPhone was Apple's breakthrough item!
That brings us back to Disney Land, which I created in 1954. I eventually died on December 15th, 1966 of lung cancer, but my legacy lives on in my work.
I became who I was years after you. Although I was incredibly succesful like you, I actually never finished college. I died on October 5th, 2011 of pancreatic cancer. Although I am gone, Apple is still booming (and has the best phones).
