Germany SurrendersGermany surrendered to the Allies in 1945. The Soviet Union and the allies started storming Berlin. Due to that Hitler killed him. Germany now left with now leader and having lost the war, gave up. They stopped fighting and eventually surrendered. Alfred Jodl signed the papers and it became official May 7, 1945.

United States and Soviet Union, Friend and FoeThe United States helped and backed up many countries in WWII. However, so did Soviet Union. Yet, they both caused a great deal of chaos. The United States bombed Japan, twice. The Soviet Union was willing to do whatever it took to win.
The Manhattan ProjectIt was a research project during WWII. The US got word that Germany might be building a dangerous weapon. They took that very seriously and started the project in 1939. They started it to create a nuclear weapon. They proceeded to build and later on use an atomic bomb.
The Bombing of HiroshimaAt this point Germany had already surrendered to the Allies. The Allies were telling Japan to stand down. They refused and keep fighting. As a result the US sent one of two atomic bomb to them. On August 6th, 1945 around 130,000 people were killed.
The Bombing of Nagasaki On August 9, 1945 the US bombed Nagasaki. It was the second bomb sent to Japan by the US. This bombing caused a great devastation during WWII. They used the Fat Man bomb. Which was one of their most powerful bombs yet. Due to the bombing around 100,000 people died.
Japan Surrendered Japan was attacked by the United States. Who used nuclear weapons. Except that didn't make them surrender. The surrendered because the Soviet Union entered the war. Many were under the impression they surrender because of the bomb. However, the surrendered because it was less embarrassing.
