Hello my name is Jasmine and I'm going to be telling you about the history of anime in Japan
Its disputed of what the first ever animation in Japan was but is thought to be Katsudo Shashin.
In the early 20th century there were people experimenting with animation.
The first ever actual anime was made in 1917. The true name is thought to be Dekobō Shingachō or in english "Bumpy New Picture Book: Failure of a Great Plan"
Fun fact, animes were short films at first but grew into series and movies.
During the time of world war ii the animation industry in Japan grew. Since the Japanese government wanted to invoke culture nationalism they did it through the animation industry.
In 1958 the first ever full color anime was produced by Toei Animation and Mushi Production.
It was called Hakujaden or "The tale of the white serpant" in english.
In the 1960s anime was brought to american T.V.s with "Three tales", "Astro Boy", " Sennin Buraku", " Wolf Boy Ken", "Kimba the White Lion ", " Sally the Witch", "Speed Racer" , and many more.
