  • Rome is located in Italy. A Latin tribe built their village on a hill in central Italy. The village overlooked the Tiber River. The tribe built huts. Soon later their village grew into a city that spread over seven hills.
  • Etruscan Influence of Sports
  • A Princess had twins and their grandfather did not want them alive so he sent two men to kill them. They placed them in a river but the twins did not sink. A wolf found them and raised them and then a person found them a couple years later and spreed the word that they were alive to everyone. The boys made a village and the were fighting over the name of the village and Romulus won. When Romulus died he turned into a god.
  • Greek Influence of Architecture
  • The Romans learned some of there manner of engineering from the Greeks. The Romans use the idea of archways from the Greeks. Which was on two rested pillars the pillars supported a half of a circle of wedge-shaped stones.
  • Greek influence of writing, art, and religion 
  • Romans took two brutal and gory Etruscan sporting events. The Etruscan's enjoyed watching chariot races. But the first was the slave fighting.
  • The Roman use the columns in there builds that the Greeks created. The Roman also learned to use concrete in there larger builds. For example the Pantheon in Rome.
  • The Romans used a improved Etruscan alphabet, which was a idea took from the Greek alphabet. The Romans wrote in all capital letters just as the Greeks did. The Greeks carved important files in walls and columns so every one could see them.
