- A man is arrested for stealing $6,000 from a business
- Defamation Against Another Person
- Sarah is committing tax fraud, she is not paying the correct taxes for her business.
- The mans attorney was providing evidence on why he did not commit the crime they said he did. They were trying to convince the jury that he did not steal anything.
- Sarah Sues the Man For Defamation
- The jury decided that the man was innocent and he was acquitted of all charges.
- Judgment
- The man was spreading lies about Sarah committing a crime of tax fraud and posting it to social media.
- The claimant (Sarah) is suing the defendant (the man) for defamation because he is spreading false lies about Sarah that could hurt her company and make people feel less about her. Luckily for Sarah there is proof of the defendant spreading these false narratives on the internet so all she has to do is prove that she is not commiting tax fraud.
- The defendant is found 55% liable for the him defaming her character. He has to pay Sarah $1,000,000 because she could of lost a large amount of money with these false accusations put against her.
