Storyboard Text

  • Act 1 Scene 3
  • Cicero, I’ve seen storms in which the angry winds split old oak trees, and I’ve seen theocean swell, rage, and foam, as if it wanted to reach the stormclouds, but never before tonight, never until now, have I experienced a storm that drops fire.
  • What—have you seen something so strange that it is clearly an omen from the gods?
  • Act 2 Scene 2
  • I will go out. The things that threaten me have only seen myback. When they see the face of Caesar, they will vanish.
  • Caesar, I never believed in omens, but now they frighten me.
  • Act 3 Scene 1
  • Cicero arrives into the village at the same time as Cassius. Cassius is distraught so Cicero though he had accompanied Caesar home, but then Cassius explains that the severe storm is a bad omen.
  • Act 4 Scene 1
  • Caesar wakes during the night and has a servant go tell a priest to preform a sacrifice. The his wife awakens and tells him that she'd never believed in omens, but now they are starting to frighten her.
  • Act 5 Scene 5
  • In act 3 scene 1, Caesar is killed by people that are supposed to be his friends, all because he was going to have more power than them. He was killed by Casca and Brutus.
  • Theme
  • Antony, Lepidus, and Octavius meet to condemn to death those who may oppose them. They want to get rid of anyone that could get them into trouble that way they can gain power.
  • In the war between people, one of the people that helped plot and murder Caesar is at battle and when he realizes he might die or get into trouble he has a man hold a sword then ran into it and killed himself.
