- In the past we've had four of these murders. we've got some common denominators in these cases, Mrs. Kilbourn. One, all victims were hustlers who'd gone independent. Two, all the girls walked out on pimps who don't believe in free enterprise. Three, the faces of all victims were mutilated. Four, all the dead girls were found with the lower halves of their bodies exposed.

- 24 hours later... Peters (Joanne's Son) fiancé Christy becomes apparent to a suicide after being found in Saskatchewan's Fort Qu' Appelle lake. It turned out that Christy was bearing a teddy bear tattoo on her buttock just like the other victim's.
- These untimely and strange deaths leads Joanne Kilbourn to investigate as it is close to home and involving her family.
- These untimely murders which have claimed the lives of Joanne's sons former girlfriend and her daughters employee; forces Joanne to come out of retirement to investigate. Investigating both deaths run up against an unsavory secret being held on a island in the Northern Canadian woods. Joanne's intention of uncovering the truth puts her adopted daughter Taylor in danger where she has to fight to get her back, where she's being kept captivated on the island.
