  • Stage 3: Conformity and Interpersonal Accord
  • You must exert pressure on yourself, despite my objections, because it is also for your own benefit.
  • Is it okay if I get a bad mark in one of our major subjects, Mom?
  • When I asked my parents for permission to go out with my pals to a party because it was our friend's birthday, I politely agreed to their choice. Because of their reason and strictness, I obediently obeyed them when they finally said no to avoid such punishments.
  • Stage 4: Authority and Social Order
  • As time passes and I am able to begin my college career, there is a self-interest that arises in my thoughts about what decisions I should make for my future.
  • Stage 5: Social Contract
  • I'll be teaching your class about values, norms, and consequences for classroom behavior as a teacher who needs to teach.
  • At this level, I understand that we can't just give them what they want; we're living their expectations, therefore as a daughter, I need to follow my mother's advice for my own benefit.
  • Stage 6: Universal Principles
  • I have only one rule in this classroom and that rule is not negotiable. Respect yourself and everyone elsein this room and I will nottolerate any racial, ethnic, or sexual slurs in this classroom.
  • As much as I want to be this perfect daughter who is excellent in everything, I regret that I procrastinate so much that it affects my grades, and I know now that it has taught me to behave and be under my mother's thumb. Any acts that resulted in me receiving a failing grade are unwanted.
  • It's purpose is establishing rules and consequences based on guiding principles or values that will guide students in their activities and interactions together.
  • As the instructor teaches her principles in the classroom, the aforementioned principles and rules are for governing human behavior and are deemed to be most legitimate since they are most universal in their acceptability, applicability, translation, and philosophical basis.
