my eleventh christmas

- I had just woken up and I was super happy that it was Christmas my sister had just been woken up by me my brother had woke up by himself my mom was taking a shower and my dad was changing his pajamas into real clothes.
- by now my whole family had come downstairs and eaten breakfast my sister, brother and I we were all very excited because I told them that earlier in the week I was looking for mom and dad and i saw an electric piano in their closet and one of my presents had the same size as the piano so I was extra excited me and my siblings were making a pact that I would let them use it sometimes.
- yay!
- I'm so excited it's Christmas!!!!
- you guys can open your presents!!
- now my siblings and I were opening our gifts and I opened all of my other ones that I had I left the biggest present for the end I was super excited, my sister and brother looked jealous. When I was done ripping the wrapping paper, I looked at it and it was definitely not an electric piano it was a doll house that I asked for my birthday a year ago. Before, I started to cry since my expectations a couple seconds ago were sky high, and now I was shocked. My mom looked really sad and confused then she went inside her office and she came back looking very happy and with two presents in her hands she gave them to me and they were both furniture for the doll house at this point i was crying like a toddler because I made a big list for Santa to choose from that year and i didn't receive anything I asked for, I saw the sad face in my mom and dad's face and I noticed how spoiled and selfish I was being. with that my belief is that you should always be grateful for what you have and i only learned that because I still feel bad that I cried over getting a present I didn't want.
