- We're goin' back and turn ourselves in.
- You sure you want to go back? Us greasers get it worse than anyone else.
- *gasp* Let's go see what the deal is.
- Oh, glory! The church is on fire!
- Ponyboy! I'll go with you!
- The kids! I'll get them! Don't worry! I'll get them!!
- *children screaming in the church*
- Johnny tells Dally that he is going to go back and turn himself into the police. Dally doesn't think that it is a very good idea.
- Dally points out the church fire to Ponyboy and Johnny. They are surprised and get out of the car to see what is going on.
- Ponyboy and Johnny hear the sounds of children screaming inside of the church. They decide to go inside and save the kids before the church crumbles.
- DARRY!!
- Ponyboy gets out of the church fast enough so that the church didn't crumble on him. Dally sees that his back is on fire and whacks him across the back as hard as he can. This makes Ponyboy faint into a peaceful darkness.
- Ponyboy is taken to the hospital in an ambulance after fainting on the ground. Thankful and worried, a man from the church named Jerry joins him in the ambulance.
- Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry reunite at the hospital after being apart for a few weeks. When Darry saw Ponyboy, he tried to hold in tears of joy, but he just couldn't hold it in.
